Book: Dear White Peacemakers by Osheta Moore
Join facilitators Jason Ruona and Kristina Kaiser for this 5-week series, walking through Osheta Moore’s most recent book. Moore is a pastor in St. Paul, Minnesota. Through story and Scripture, she
invites us to enter into the urgent work of anti-racism peacemaking. Ms. Moore focuses on a “third-
way approach” to anti-racism which avoids the extremes of grace without responsibility and shame.
Race is one of the hardest topics to discuss in America. A commitment to peacemaking requires
white people to step out of their comfort and privilege and into the work of anti-racism. Rooted in the
life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus, this book is a challenging call to transform white shame,
fragility, saviorism, and privilege, in order to work together to build the Beloved Community as anti-racism peacemakers.
